4 Week Mindfulness Workshop with Kristie Axe

Kristie Axe, one of our current group exercise instructors for yoga and meditation will be running a 4 week mindfulness course. With a background in HR management and extensive training and experience in the wellness field, Kristie is passionate about sharing life skills to help others manage through the stressors of modern life. Kristie has been delivering this course in the community and corporate world for several years and is delighted to be bringing it to PARC!

Dates: November 13th, November 20th, November 27th and December 4th

Time: 7pm – 8.15pm

Where: Creche

Cost: FREE*

Suitable for participants 15 years plus

*$30 No show fee if you can’t attend 1 of the 4 sessions.

Course aim:

To provide participants with very simple, practical techniques they can use as part of their daily life, at work and at home, to help manage stress and make life more enjoyable.

Course content:

Learn and practice relaxation exercises
Learn specific and day to day mindfulness techniques
Learn various meditation techniques
Learn to use technology mindfully

This course is very beneficial for stress management as well as anyone suffering from anxiety/depression, add a little calm to your busy life!

Last month, PARC staff member Wayne competed the Shepparton Marathon and finished with a time of 3hrs 30min 38sec! After months of preparation, he powered through a challenging course and crushed it! Finishing first in his age group (70+) by more than 1 hour and 10 minutes to the next racer! 🏃‍

For Wayne, being active is key to his overall health. “Running has always been my way of staying healthy, I see it as the most efficient way of keeping my heart working as best it can”. Working at PARC also helps keep him on his feet, active, moving and social, playing a big role in his fitness and recovery. ❤️

Wayne’s story is a testament to the benefits of exercising at any age. We are so impressed by Wayne’s dedication to his fitness and is a true inspiration to us all! 🥇
