Dive into swimming lessons at PARC Frankston!
Learning how to swim keeps your child active, provides them with life skills to have safe adventures and most of all is so much fun!
At PARC Swim our vision is that ‘Every child in Frankston can swim’ and we make that possible through a safe and innovative swim lesson program that’s core focus is developing a lifelong love of water.
We are so proud of our program that’s supported thousands of children across the Peninsula to learn how to be safe in water, where they are grouped by age and ability to ensure they have the best experience. Membership benefits
- More lessons, less breaks – Our program runs for 44 weeks of the year, with more lessons and time in the water! See our calendar for lesson times.
- Unlimited access to our PARC pools – With a membership your child and an accompanying adult can access our aquatic facilities all year round (excl our Warm Water pool)
- FREE access to PINES Forest Aquatic Centre – Meaning more exposure and opportunity to build confidence in the water.
- Make up classes – available for all PARC Swim members. To obtain a make up credit, members must withdraw from a class between 30 days and up to 2 hours prior to the class. Make up credits are valid for 90 days from the date of application. Learn more about this change, and how to redeem your class make up credit via this article.
- Qualified teachers – All our teachers are AUSTSWIM (or equivalent) qualified, with many licensed to teach multiple disciplines, including infants, adults and Access and Inclusion classes.
- Free parking – For a maximum of 3 hours every time you visit PARC.
- Family discount – There is a discount for multiple children, 10% for third child and 25% for the fourth and subsequent children.
- VIP entry and discounts – Receive 10% off retail and priority bookings on special events and school holiday programs.

No debit periods, with ongoing access – You will not be debited during:
- 2 weeks of Easter school holidays
- 2 weeks of September school holidays
- 4 weeks of Summer school holidays (noting, these holidays are usually 6 weeks, so direct debited in part).
You will still be able to access PARC for play and practise all year-round, even during the 8 weeks of the year where you will pay nothing!

Learning to swim is important at any age!
At PARC we love supporting adults that may have missed out on learning how to swim as a child and now want to be more active, happy and connected!
We provide swimming lessons in Frankston for beginners through to advanced as well as offering testing for those looking to gain entry to the Police or Australian Defence Force.
Safety in the water
Help us ensure PARC is a safe venue for the whole community to enjoy. Watch Around Water is an education and public awareness-raising program that defines the minimum supervision requirements for children in a pool setting.
Our lifeguards are essential for safety; however, they do not replace the close supervision of parents and guardians for young children around water.
Children under 5 years old
- MUST wear a yellow wristband to help identify their age while swimming.
- Will not be admitted without a full fee paying parent/guardian who must also be in the water.
- Groups will not be admitted entry where the number of parents/guardians supervising a group of children under5 years exceeds the ratio of 1:2.
Children under 10 years old
- MUST wear a green wristband to help identify their age while swimming.
- Groups will not be admitted entry where the number of parents/guardians supervising a group of children under 10 years exceeds the ratio of 1:4.
Children under 13 years old
- MUST wear a purple wristband to help identify their age while swimming.
- Groups will not be admitted entry where the number of parents/guardians supervising a group of children under 13 years exceeds the ratio of 1:10.
Conditions of entry:
- Unsupervised children will be removed from the water and placed in a safe area until collected by the parent/guardian.
- An unsupervised child of poor swimming ability regardless of age will be removed from the water by a staff member if we are concerned for the safety of that child.
- When children are under the supervision of a teacher in a structured PARC Swim lesson, a parent/guardian must still maintain constant visual supervision.
- Groups will not be permitted entry where the number of parent/guardians supervising a group of children under 10 years exceeds of 1:4 (1:2 for children under 5 years).
Life Saving Victoria Lifesaving Education Program
Did you know we do beach water safety days for schools? Get your students safer around water at Frankston beach.
PARC Swim Schools program has partnered with Life Saving Victoria and Frankston Life Saving Club to provide the Lifesaving Education Program (beach and bay) at our local Frankston Life Saving Club.
PARC Swim Schools offers an open water program to our local schools, with the added bonus of utilising PARC as a back up facility should the weather or water quality impact the program.
Our specially qualified instructors provide instruction on:
- Rescues in open water,Being aware and prepared at the beach,
- Everyday lifesaving (DRSABCD),
- Safe boarding, and
- Survival strategies
The program includes:
- Life Saving Victoria partnered program
- Specially qualified instructors for open water instruction
Programming including – Be Aware/ Be Prepared, Rescue Strategies, Everyday Lifesaving (DRSABCD), Survival Strategies and Safe Boarding. - The use of PARC as a backup facility should weather or water quality impact the program
- Partnership with Frankston Life Saving Club to utilise their facilities
- Provide all relevant equipment
