Everything you need to know: PARC Swim make up classes

PARC Swim Membership Update – Annual price adjustment and changes to terms

Please be advised of upcoming changes to your PARC Swim membership fee and structure, which come into effect from term 4, on Monday 7 October 2024.

For a summary of these changes, please see this PDF document.

We are introducing make-up classes

For some time, we have been hearing that members want the opportunity to do a make-up class if the student is unwell or unable to make their class. We have listened to your feedback, and are pleased to advise that we will now offer make-up classes from 7 October.

What does this mean for me?

If you are unable to attend your PARC Swim class, you will be able to log into your Customer Portal ahead of that class, withdraw from that class and receive a ‘make up credit’ on your account. You will then be able to use that credit to book the student into the same level class on another day.

Make-up credits will last for 90 days and can be used on any day of the week over that period. A maximum of 2 make-up credits can be issued and used every 60 days, with a maximum of 10 credits per membership year.

Instructions: How to redeem a PARC Swim make up class in our Customer Portal

  1. Log into your Customer Portal
  2. Find the PARC Swim member, and their corresponding class that you wish to withdraw from
  3. Withdraw from your PARC Swim class BEFORE your class to redeem your make up class credit
  4. When you are ready to book your make up class, log into your Customer Portal
  5. Find the PARC Swim member, and the corresponding class that you wish to join as a make up class
  6. Book into that class by using your make up class credit

We are reducing the number of payments you need to make

We understand that many families take the opportunity to go on holidays to spend quality time with loved ones during the school holidays and after the school year has ended. As such, you may not have the opportunity to visit PARC and PINES during the holidays. Based on your feedback, we have decided that we will no longer direct debit PARC Swim Memberships during part of the Easter, September and Summer school holiday breaks

This means, during 8 weeks of the year when there are no scheduled classes, you will pay nothing, but still have full access to PARC for play and practise!

What does this mean for me?

This means, from 7 October the annual costs of All PARC Swim Memberships will be equally spread across 22 direct debits, rather than 26. You will not be debited during:

  • 2 weeks of Easter school holidays
  • 2 weeks of September school holidays
  • 4 weeks of Summer school holidays (noting, these holidays are usually 6 weeks, so direct debited in part).

You will still be able to access PARC for play and practise all year-round, even during the 8 weeks of the year where you will pay nothing!

We are removing the need for suspensions

PARC Swim has previously offered limited membership suspensions for sickness or holidays in lieu of being able to offer make-up classes. Now that we are introducing make-up classes, and offering the above school holiday periods where you will not be debited, suspensions will no longer be offered from 7 October.

These changes come into effect on Monday 7 October 2024, and will be updated on our Terms & Conditions page from this date.

Annual membership price adjustment

The annual price adjustment for PARC Swim memberships will be 3% and will apply to your direct debit from Monday 7 October 2024.

This annual price change is in line with the current market levels, and ensures that we can continue reinvesting in our PARC Swim program, and continue providing you year round access to PARC.

Please note – If you currently receive a percentage discount on your membership (for 3rd or more child enrolled, or as a Foundation member), your existing discount will automatically be applied to the new weekly prices stated above.

If you have any questions, please contact the team via email here member.experience@parcfrankston.com.au.

Did you know Dry Needling/Accupuncture is available from the Compass Allied Health team, located in our Allied Health Suites

Dry needling is a technique where a very fine needle is gently inserted into tight or painful muscles to release “knots” (trigger points). These tight spots can cause pain, stiffness, and reduced movement.

The goal? It help muscles relax, move better, and feel less painful.

Who can benefit?
• Athletes & active people
• Anyone with tight or stiff muscles
• Desk-related neck or back pain
• Headaches, sciatica, jaw pain (TMJ), or joint issues

Curious if dry needling is right for you? Get in touch with Compass Allied Health to book an initial consult with Jack (Giac).
⭐️ Swimming for a cause: Meet Clinton Hosie ⭐️

This February, PARC Aquatic Access member Clinton Hosie is taking on a new challenge - swimming 14km to raise funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation as part of their Super Swim.

Every minute of every day, a child in Australia is admitted to hospital. Clinton is diving in to help bring joy, laughter, and comfort to sick kids when they need it most.

We love seeing you at PARC putting in the laps, Clinton - your dedication in and out of the pool is inspiring.

Good luck, have fun, and thank you for swimming for such an important cause!
