Train like an Olympian – Swimming

Feeling inspired by the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games? Try this workout to get results in the pool!

If you’re like us, watching the Aussies dominate in the water has got you wanting to get in the pool!

Our trainers are here to help and have put together a swimming program in our PARC Fit app, which incorporates both water and dryland exercises so you can get the best results in the pool.

Dryland training takes place, you guessed it, on dry land. The goal is to use strength and conditioning exercises to increase power, mobility, and flexibility. For swimmers, this means the ultimate goal is to become more explosive in the water, increase speed and stroke rate, and improve distance per stroke. This type of training is also designed to reduce the risk of injury. 

Here are our top 7 exercises to do in the gym so you can see results in the water!

  4. Jump Rope
  5. Flutter Kicks
  6. Superman
  7. Russian Twist

✨ PARC EARLY CLOSURE ✨

PARC will be closing at 6pm on Saturday 9th December as our staff enjoy their end of year Christmas function. 

Please allow for extra time in planning your workout or swim as the centre will close an hour earlier. 

We will open at 7am as per normal operating hours on Sunday 10th December.

Bookings for VICSWIM summer intensive programs at PARC and PINES are NOW OPEN! ⭐️⭐️ 

VICSWIM is a low-cost, intensive program that teaches swimming and water safety to children from 4 years of age. 

PINES 
Week 1: 2-5 January, 9am-3pm 
Week 2: 8-12 January, 9am-12pm 
Week 3: 15-19 January, 9am-3pm 

PARC 
Week 2: 8-12 January, 9am-1.30pm

Months of work have finally been completed and our safety upgrades and landscaping works mean the carpark is looking fresh.

We hope it will look even better when the 500 new plants mature.
