Water safety education for new parents – event postponed

Free water safety education for new parents

Join us at PARC on Thursday 7 December for a water safety and familiarisation seminar tailored for first time parents groups.

Led by experienced PARC Swim infant teachers, the seminar will cover:

How to introduce your child to water
Water familiarisation and tools parents can use to help get their children be comfortable in and around water
Water safety across different bodies of water, including at home, pools, lakes, beaches and rivers
When is the right time to be thinking about swimming lessons

Water safety is so important, and we encourage you to attend if possible so that you can start preparing your children to build a life long love of water here in Frankston

Event Details:

When: Thursday 7 December
Time: 2 – 3pm (30minute information session, followed by afternoon tea and an optional tour of the PARC aquatic facilities)
Where: PARC Childcare
Cost: Free for the community, places are limited.

Two incredible guest speakers – Nutritionist Ali Tehan and GP Dr Shaminder Kaur – will share insights to help you better understand and manage the changes that come with perimenopause and menopause.

💙 Ali Tehan will explore how nutrition can support hormonal balance, energy, and mood.
💙 Dr Shaminder Kaur will discuss symptoms, treatments, and the medical side of menopause, helping you feel informed and confident through this stage of life.

This session is open to all PARC members, and yes, men are welcome too!

Last weekend at PARC, we were proud to host Restart a Heart Day – a community event dedicated to raising awareness about cardiac arrest and empowering people with lifesaving CPR skills.

Led by the passionate team from Monash University Paramedicine, our foyer was buzzing with learning and energy as visitors discovered how to CALL, PUSH, SHOCK – the three simple steps that can save a life.

With only 1 in 10 people surviving a cardiac arrest, every bit of awareness and education makes a difference.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and learnt a new skill. And thank you to our friends at Monash Uni for making it happen here at PARC.
