Reset and Reboot Your Pace this Spring

Reset and Reboot Your Pace this Spring

Did you slow down a little this winter? When the cooler weather hits, it’s normal to change your routines. You can’t get outdoors as much, the days are shorter, and sometimes we just need a bit more rest.

As we head into warmer months, it’s the perfect opportunity to step out of the slower rhythm of winter and reset Your Pace for Spring.

Need a little inspiration to get started? Here are six practical PARC tips to help ease you back into moving more:

  1. Start Small
There is no ‘making up for lost time’.  Take a balanced approach and ease in and find a rhythm that suits you and is manageable. Start out with adding just one session to your routine each week and build up gradually.

  2. Try Something New
New season, new energy. Sometimes our routines can get stale. Experiment and change it up by trying something different. Join a group exercise class you haven’t tried before, or Small Group Training for an extra boost of encouragement from others doing it with you.

  3. Set One Clear Intention
Focus on one goal. It might be something movement based, like increasing flexibility or building strength. It could be routine based, like committing to a set number of exercise sessions each week. Or it could be focused on sleep, nutrition, whatever you choose. You don’t need to hit all your goals at once.

  4. Take Advantage of the Season
Warmer days makes it easier to get out and get moving. Enjoying exercise in fresh air not only has physical benefits but is beneficial for mental wellbeing as well. Try adding a walk to your routine or join one of our outdoor programs like PARC Fit Outdoor or PARC Fit Run to soak up the sun and connect with others.

  5. Book Your Workouts
Treat your exercise session as an appointment. Whether it’s a class or a solo session, locking it in your calendar helps you stay committed and prioritise movement.

Remind yourself of your Pace Phrase

What was the Pace Phrase did you set at the start of the year to describe your health and fitness goals for 2025?  Think about the intention you set for yourself and use that to inspire you to keep moving and working towards your goal.

There is no right or wrong pace when it comes to your own health journey, so set yourself up with a routine that works for you. As always, our PARC Staff are here to support you reach your health and wellbeing goals.
