Main Pool Hall to reopen Monday 11 August

Updated 8 August, 1pm

Great news! PARC’s Main Pool Hall is reopening early on Monday 11 August

We’re thrilled to share that the Main Pool Hall will reopen one week earlier than planned, on Monday 11 August!

Thanks to a smooth and speedy installation of our brand-new boiler system, we’ve been able to bring the reopening forward and get you back in the water sooner.

We’re reopening one full week earlier than planned thanks to the early arrival of parts and the smooth installation and commissioning of our new 600-kilowatt boiler. This upgraded system will provide more consistent heating across our pools and showers.

SERVICES:

What’s reopening on Monday 11 August?

  • 50m Pool – lap swimming, PARC Swim, Aqua classes and user groups return
  • Learn to Swim Pool – PARC Swim returns
  • Waterslides – fun is back!
  • Showers – are hot and flowing
  • Café – back to normal hours (8am – 7pm weekdays, 8am – 5pm weekends)

What’s reopening later?

  • Aquatic Playground – repaint works remain on track to finish in time for planned reopen on Saturday 16 August
  • Sauna – The Sauna is closed for tiling upgrades,

What’s already open?
All other areas of the Centre, including the Warm Water Pool, Spa, Gym, Reformer Studio, and Group Exercise Rooms, continue to operate as normal.

Have you heard of Incidental Exercise? 🧹🚶‍♀️

Incidental exercise is physical activity that occurs naturally as part of your daily routine! It’s the small bursts of activity you accumulate throughout the day, such as carrying in the groceries, or playing with the kids, that helps you achieve your 30-20-2.

Some examples of Incidental Exercise are:
- Doing housework like vacuuming, mopping, or gardening
- Walking up stairs instead of taking elevator or escalator
- Parking further away from your destination to get your steps up
- Walking during lunch breaks, or having a standing meeting

Remember, all movement counts! 🌟

For more information about 30-20-2, or helpful resources and workouts to get you moving, head to our Digital Hub.
How cute it this?! 🦄

Help us ensure PARC is a safe venue for the whole community to enjoy 🏊

At PARC, we participate in the statewide Watch Around Water program. Watch Around Water is an education and public awareness-raising program that defines the minimum supervision requirements for children in a pool setting.

When visiting PARC, your child will be given a coloured wristband, based on their age. These wristbands help our lifeguards identify the level of supervison required for your child, and support a safe aquatic environment for everyone.
