Green thumbs and lawn games at Mayor’s Family Picnic
PARC is hosting free activities for children and families at the Mayor’s Family Picnic this September.
A free kids pot planting area will nurture young green thumbs, while free lawn games promise to get the whole family active and laughing the afternoon away.
“The Mayor’s Family Picnic is a great event to bring the community together and celebrate the start of spring,” said Peninsula Leisure CEO Tim Gledhill.
“A big part of PARC’s work is making sure everyone has the opportunity to get active, and we are committed to transforming the way the Frankston community thinks about health and wellbeing,” said Tim. “Putting on these activities is a fun, relaxed way to get people outside, moving and connecting with their community. We look forward to seeing lots of children and adults enjoying the day.”
The Mayor’s Family Picnic is a free event organised by Frankston City Council. Live entertainment, community barbeques and other free games and activities will be available.
The Mayor’s Family Picnic is on Sunday 8 September 2019, 11am–2pm at Banyan Reserve, Luscombe Avenue, Carrum Downs.
