SURVEY: Beyond the visit: what do you gain from attending our facilities?

At Peninsula Leisure, we know our facilities are more than places to swim, workout, take a class or recover. They’re spaces where people build healthy lifestyles, confidence and connection.

This year, we’re inviting you to take part in a new kind of survey, one that goes beyond facilities and timetables.

This one’s about outcomes. We want to understand how attending PARC:

  • Impacts your physical health and mental wellbeing
  • Helps you feel connected to community
  • Adds value to you or your family’s life

In short: what do you get out of attending our facilities?

Your answers will help us measure the value to our community and the real world impact of our programs and spaces – not just how often they’re used, but how they genuinely make a difference.

Why this matters

As a community facility operator, we exist to improve lives. Understanding your outcomes helps us:

  • Shape programs that deliver deeper impact
  • Strengthen engagement with members and users
  • Ensure we’re creating experiences that truly matter

This survey is part of a series being undertaken during 2026–2027 and is conducted in partnership with Swinburne University of Technology (Ethics Approval: SHR Project 2023 – 20237432-16746).

We want to hear from everyone

Peninsula Leisure is a child-friendly organisation, and we’re especially keen to hear from young people.

If your children use our facilities, we encourage you to involve them in answering the survey too. Their experiences matter just as much as yours.

 Survey info:

  • Takes around 10 minutes
  • Open until 26 April 2026
  • Completely confidential
  • Go in the draw to win 1 of 3 x $100 Rebel Sport vouchers. To be in the draw to win, please provide contact details at the end of the survey and the winner will be notified by email.
  • Participation is voluntary, but your insight is incredibly valuable.

Thank you for helping us build an even stronger, healthier community.

Your Peninsula Leisure Team

To celebrate, our PARC Swim teachers will include a small segment in this week’s lessons, using our snakes and ladders game, aligning a swimming activity with a participating sporting event 🏊🏃

Make sure to check out our activity table, and show support for Australia, or any other participating country by wearing their colours to your lesson this week!
Have you heard of Habit Stacking? 🤔

It's a great way to add movement into your day by pairing small exercises with habits you already do - helping you be active and achieve 30-20-2, even when life is busy!

You can incorporate simple exercises into your daily task, such as:
- Squats while the kettle boils - turn waiting time into movement time.
- Calf raises while brushing your teeth - two minutes of strength, twice a day.
- Lunges down the hallway - every trip becomes a mini workout.
- Marching on the spot while folding laundry- complete some of your vigorous or moderate exercise every trip.
- Glute squeezes while sitting at your desk - perfect for busy workdays.

Remember, all movement counts 🙌

For more information about 30-20-2, or helpful resources and workouts to get you moving, head to our Digital Hub.
