PARC introduces Active Women’s Month!

During March, PARC will be celebrating, supporting and inspiring women to be active! Whatever your situation or ability level we want you to fall in love with exercise and make your health and fitness a priority.

We want to empower our female members and the broader community to challenge themselves and put their health first. So, we’re hosting a range of seminars to educate and motivate on a range of health and fitness topics:

  • Thursday 11th March, 6.30pm: Women’s Nutrition and challenging your mindset around health & wellbeing

Join Mel and Mary in an activity based seminar where you can set yourself goals and challenges around nutrition and health and leave with a plan of attack and tips & tricks to succeed!

Kim and Erin from the Women’s Spirit Project, which aims to inspire and empower women experiencing disadvantage to transform their lives through fitness, health and wellbeing activities, will join us to talk about the organisation and its inspiring work.

This promises to be a thought-provoking event where you can learn about this organisation and find out more about the upcoming Frank to Schank Challenge Event Fundraiser in April.

  • Thursday 25th March, 6.30pm: Brodie Harper on her active journey in conjunction with This Girl Can week!

We’re supporting the Victorian Government, This Girl Can initiative encouraging more women to give activity a go or return to exercise after a break. Local celebrity and TV host, Brodie Harper, will be joining us to talk about how she got back into exercise after a break.

BOOK NOW FOR FREE through the MyPARC app or via our Group Exercise timetable on the website and they’re open to everyone, PARC members and non-members.

It’s International Women’s Day on Monday 8th March and this year the focus is #choosetochallenge so why not think about how you can challenge yourself this month and start a new routine that enables you to get more active?

We’re also supporting the Victorian Government initiative, This Girl Can Week, that aims to provide opportunities for women to give physical activity a try. From Monday 22nd to Friday 26th March we will be showcasing our beginner classes within our timetable.

PARC loves a challenge and our team is always here to support you every step of the way. We want to celebrate your successes and inspire you to be your best, so get on board and get active this March!

Did you know that our vision is that 'Every Child In Frankston Can Swim'?🌳👶🏻

The Rotary Peninsula 2.0's Birth Tree is one way that's helping us to achieve this vision. ⚙️

By joining the Birth Tree, you get your child's name on this year's plaque. Plus through the Birth Tree, $45 of every contribution goes straight back to PARC and PINES to help more children build confidence in the water. Your contribution will go directly to funding baby swim programs. It's a great gift to welcome a child into our ever-growing community in Frankston.🏊

You can purchase a place for a baby born this year on the birth tree by heading to our website in the link below. Or for older children, you can add them to the Family Garden. Find out more in the link in our bio.
