Need some inspo to get moving as the days get cooler? Join PARC’s My Movement Challenge to help you create healthy habits, build momentum and stay motivated.

What is the My Movement Challenge?

The My Movement Challenge is all about moving more this May. Simply spell out P.A.R.C each week by focusing on your Progression, Activity, Recovery and CHALLENGE. Get your card stamped to spell out P.A.R.C each week. Get 4 x P.A.R.C’s over the course of the 4 week Challenge period, and achieve your Challenge!

  • P = Progression – take that next step by increasing weight, distance or intensity
  • A = Activity – just move more by increasing duration or visitation
  • R = Recover, Refuel, Refer or Recreate by focusing on your body post workout with an Active Recovery. Re-fuel your body at our awesome Cafe. Refer a friend into the Challenge. Or, take some time for yourself by putting your child in PARC Creche for a little ‘you time’ recreation.
  • C = Challenge – push yourself by trying something new, or by completing the weekly Challenge loaded into the PARC FitApp.

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! 💚💛

This week, our PARC Swim team have organised some Commonwealth Games themed fun, to celebrate our Aussie athletes, who are absolutely dominating this year! 🥇

To celebrate, our PARC Swim teachers will include a small segment in this week’s lessons, using our snakes and ladders game, aligning a swimming activity with a participating sporting event 🏊🏃

Make sure to check out our activity table, and show support for Australia, or any other participating country by wearing their colours to your lesson this week!
Have you heard of Habit Stacking? 🤔

It's a great way to add movement into your day by pairing small exercises with habits you already do - helping you be active and achieve 30-20-2, even when life is busy!

You can incorporate simple exercises into your daily task, such as:
- Squats while the kettle boils - turn waiting time into movement time.
- Calf raises while brushing your teeth - two minutes of strength, twice a day.
- Lunges down the hallway - every trip becomes a mini workout.
- Marching on the spot while folding laundry- complete some of your vigorous or moderate exercise every trip.
- Glute squeezes while sitting at your desk - perfect for busy workdays.

Remember, all movement counts 🙌
