Latest Covid-19 Restrictions Update from PARC and Pines

Following the Victorian Government announcement at the weekend (Sunday 18 October), we’re able to confirm the following updates and what it means for our PARC and Pines Forest Aquatic Centre communities.

Increase Capacity at Outdoor Pools

We’re delighted to be able to increase the number of people who can attend Pines Forest Aquatic Centre per session. We’ve updated the booking system allowing for up to 30 people to attend each session.

All the same conditions of entry apply, apart from now allowing anyone who lives and works within 25km of the facility is able to book and visit.

Please read our website COVID information thoroughly prior to booking and familiarise yourself with our Pool Etiquette section to ensure you’re across the process for your arrival.

We’re so looking forward to welcoming a larger proportion of our community to Pines this week! Click here to book.

Outdoor Group Exercise Delayed

Currently the restrictions only allow for two households to meet up for exercise and the DHHS website clearly states that Personal Training remains as a max of 2 people per Trainer. This means our plans for Outdoor Group Exercise have been pushed back a couple of weeks.

However we encourage everyone to hang in there! It won’t be much longer and we are ready to go as soon as the Victorian Government allows.

At this stage we are hoping to be able to launch our fantastic Outdoor Group Exercise program at the next easing of restrictions, provisionally 2 November. Please keep a close eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages as we will let you know as soon as we do!

For now, don’t forget we still have Outdoor PT 1:1 and 2:1 available and PARC Your Way continues to release more workouts each week for you to enjoy anytime, anywhere!

Hydrotherapy Indoor pools

The Government announcement around access to hydrotherapy pools referred to private facilities who offer 1:1 care in their hydrotherapy pool. Larger Recreational and Aquatic facilities with a Warm Water Pool are still to remain closed at this time.

Did you know that our vision is that 'Every Child In Frankston Can Swim'?🌳👶🏻

The Rotary Peninsula 2.0's Birth Tree is one way that's helping us to achieve this vision. ⚙️

By joining the Birth Tree, you get your child's name on this year's plaque. Plus through the Birth Tree, $45 of every contribution goes straight back to PARC and PINES to help more children build confidence in the water. Your contribution will go directly to funding baby swim programs. It's a great gift to welcome a child into our ever-growing community in Frankston.🏊

You can purchase a place for a baby born this year on the birth tree by heading to our website in the link below. Or for older children, you can add them to the Family Garden. Find out more in the link in our bio.
