Celebrate International Women’s Day at PARC

#BreakTheBias with us at PARC!

Join us as we celebrate women’s achievement and raise awareness against bias on Tuesday 8 March.

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day focuses on accelerating gender parity and is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action. International Women’s Day has been occurring for well over a century – and continues to grow from strength to strength.

Come to PARC for FREE

At PARC we are surrounded by an amazing community of women, and men, and want to invite the community down to the facility for FREE from 8am – 3pm on Tuesday 8 March. We want to #breakthebias and break down the financial barrier of being active and enjoying recreation and time for yourself, so please come one, come all! PARC is an inclusive space to feel safe, and focus on your health and wellbeing.

Join our #BreakTheBias Workouts

We are also holding a series of #BreakTheBias Workouts, to demonstrate that being strong is for everyone. So often we see women reluctant to go into the gym and give it a go, thinking that weights and strength are ‘for men’. But let’s break this stereotype and show our community that being strong and looking after yourself is for everyone. We are offering free community events, including:

  • #BreakTheBias Strength 7.15-8.00am at PARC Health Club Outrace (BOOK FOR FREE HERE)
  • #BreakTheBias Strength 10.00-10.45am at PARC Health Club Outrace (BOOK FOR FREE HERE). Special note – This session will be led by our recently awarded Aquatics & Recreation Victoria Personal Trainer of the Year Pru Drago!
  • Join us for a quick grab and go breakfast from 8am – 10am on your way in or out of the Health Club.
  • #BreakTheBias Me Time 7pm from the comfort of your home via www.parcyourway.com.au. Yoga, Meditation and Stretch Flow to see your day out. Join LIVE and FREE via www.parcyourway.com.au/categories/live-class (no bookings required, you will just need to create a free account to log in).

Did you know Dry Needling/Accupuncture is available from the Compass Allied Health team, located in our Allied Health Suites

Dry needling is a technique where a very fine needle is gently inserted into tight or painful muscles to release “knots” (trigger points). These tight spots can cause pain, stiffness, and reduced movement.

The goal? It help muscles relax, move better, and feel less painful.

Who can benefit?
• Athletes & active people
• Anyone with tight or stiff muscles
• Desk-related neck or back pain
• Headaches, sciatica, jaw pain (TMJ), or joint issues

Curious if dry needling is right for you? Get in touch with Compass Allied Health to book an initial consult with Jack (Giac).
⭐️ Swimming for a cause: Meet Clinton Hosie ⭐️

This February, PARC Aquatic Access member Clinton Hosie is taking on a new challenge - swimming 14km to raise funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation as part of their Super Swim.

Every minute of every day, a child in Australia is admitted to hospital. Clinton is diving in to help bring joy, laughter, and comfort to sick kids when they need it most.

We love seeing you at PARC putting in the laps, Clinton - your dedication in and out of the pool is inspiring.

Good luck, have fun, and thank you for swimming for such an important cause!

Still buzzing from the Waterfront Festival! 🎡

What an absolutely incredible event! A massive congratulations to our Frankston Skatepark team for pulling off such an massive activation. It was fantastic to see so many local riders on the half pipe, and seeing our community rally around them and enjoying the mini skate lessons!

Rotary Peninsula 2.0's annual Duck Derby was full of fun and chaos! It was so much fun cheering on our very own duck, Percy and Hydro, to the finish line.

Thank you so much @waterfrontfest for having us! We can’t wait for next year!
