Air, heating and cooling upgrades coming to PARC

At PARC, we’re always working to improve your comfort and experience. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be completing several important upgrades to our air circulation and climate control systems across the building.

These projects will ensure better air quality, improved comfort, and long-term reliability throughout our facility. Please find details below, including what to expect and how we’re minimising any disruption.

Supply Air Fan Works on Pool Deck – Thursday 23 & Friday 24 October

This Thursday and Friday, we’ll be completing essential works on our supply air fan system. During this time, air circulation on the pool deck will be temporarily affected during the following hours:

  • Thursday 23 October: 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Friday 24 October: 7:00am – 1:00pm
  • Area impacted: Pool Desk

Once complete, air circulation across the pool hall will significantly improve – restoring the system to full 100% functionality.

Air Conditioning Replacement Project – Rolling throughout 5 November to 19 December

Beginning Wednesday 5 November, we’ll start replacing our VRF air conditioning units, with works expected to finish by Thursday 19 December. These upgrades are essential, and replacing them now will ensure consistent and reliable climate control across the building.

During this time, areas will be without heating or cooling, including:

  • Ground Floor: Admin offices, Wellness suites, Reformer Pilates studio, Swim School office, and First Aid room
  • Level 1: Health and Fitness offices

We’ll be completing as much work as possible after hours to minimise impact, and temporary air-conditioning units and fans will be set up in key areas to maintain comfort.

Please note: The Reformer Pilates studio will only be closed for one day in November to allow for safe completion of works. We’ll provide advance notice once the date is confirmed.

Chiller Replacement Project – 8 to 12 December

From Monday 8 to Friday 12 December, we’ll also be replacing our main rooftop chiller unit. This unit supports heating and cooling in key areas of the building, including:

  • Change rooms
  • Reception and café seating area
  • Health Club Gym
  • Level 1 group fitness rooms
  • Foyer and common areas

While most of the work will happen behind the scenes, there will be a five-day period where heating and cooling will be temporarily unavailable. We’ll set up temporary cooling in key areas and closely monitor building temperatures to keep everyone as comfortable as possible.

Thank you for your understanding

We appreciate your patience as we complete these essential improvements. Once all works are finished, you’ll enjoy a more comfortable, energy-efficient environment throughout the entire centre.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on progress and any changes to these schedules.
