PINES is set to open for 2025/2026 summer season

Our award winning facility PINES will be back open Saturday 1 November!

We are so excited to be counting down the days until we welcome another summer season at our gorgeous outdoor pool, Pines Forest Aquatic Centre.

Our PINES team are working hard in preparation for Saturday 1 November, making sure the pool and all facilities are in tip top shape for the upcoming season.

Our Centre Leader, Chiara, is back for her third season!

We are very happy to welcome back Chiara McAuley.

As PINES leader, Chiara has overseen our two biggest seasons yet. She has supported the delivery of our PINES Quiet Hour Swim program, events for the community and coordinated a very busy school carnival calendar.

Earlier this year, she was recognised for work as Centre Leader when she was awarded Peninsula Leisure’s ‘We Deliver’ Award for her exceptional job in delivering a successful PINES season.

Chiara is looking forward to another massive season at PINES, and welcoming back our incredible community of lap swimmers, families and schools over the coming months.

“I have loved getting to know the PINES community over the past few seasons, and am looking forward to continuing to build strong connections with more local groups. Winning the ARV award highlights the fantastic facility we are lucky to have, and is a celebration of all we have achieved over the past few years. I am looking forward to another fun summer with everyone.”

What has been happening at PINES over winter?

PINES won Seasonal Facility of the Year!

In June at the Aquatic and Recreation Victoria (ARV) Awards, PINES took home the crown for best Seasonal Facility, the second time in three years our outdoor pool has claimed the best in state award.

This is a massive achievement, are we are so proud of our Peninsula Leisure team and all their hard work, energy  and dedication in creating fun, welcoming and safe spaces for our community.

We also want to thank our incredible PINES fam, who make our facility and season so special.

Keep up to date with what’s happening at PINES

Have you heard of Incidental Exercise? 🧹🚶‍♀️

Incidental exercise is physical activity that occurs naturally as part of your daily routine! It’s the small bursts of activity you accumulate throughout the day, such as carrying in the groceries, or playing with the kids, that helps you achieve your 30-20-2.

Some examples of Incidental Exercise are:
- Doing housework like vacuuming, mopping, or gardening
- Walking up stairs instead of taking elevator or escalator
- Parking further away from your destination to get your steps up
- Walking during lunch breaks, or having a standing meeting

Remember, all movement counts! 🌟

For more information about 30-20-2, or helpful resources and workouts to get you moving, head to our Digital Hub.
How cute it this?! 🦄

Help us ensure PARC is a safe venue for the whole community to enjoy 🏊

At PARC, we participate in the statewide Watch Around Water program. Watch Around Water is an education and public awareness-raising program that defines the minimum supervision requirements for children in a pool setting.

When visiting PARC, your child will be given a coloured wristband, based on their age. These wristbands help our lifeguards identify the level of supervison required for your child, and support a safe aquatic environment for everyone.
