PARC temporary closure | Friday 12th Feb

Following the Victorian Government press conference today, Friday 12th Feb, there will be a temporary stage 4 lockdown for five days until 11.59pm on Wednesday 17th Feb.

This unfortunately means that Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC) will close at 9.00pm on Friday 12th Feb and hope to reopen at 5.00am on Thursday 18th Feb, unless there is another Government announcement.

We understand that this will be huge inconvenience to all our members and hope that this shorter lockdown means a quick recovery from the recent outbreak. We anticipate we will be back open to normal operations by Thursday next week.

All members will be provided with a credit on your account for the five day closure that will be applied on the next direct debit payment on Thursday 4th March. Please see below some Frequently Asked Questions.

How to stay motivated during the five days

Don’t forget we have online programs to help you keep active during the five day closure.

  • PARC Your Way: Our online digital website with hundreds of workouts available to do anytime anywhere. We will be sending through some suggested workout programs over the weekend to all our PARC Your Way subscribers, so if you haven’t already please sign up now for free.
  • PARC Fit App: Every member has access to our PARC Fit App which includes programs to do at home and we will be updating these early next week. Search for PARC Fit in your App Store.

When will PARC close?

PARC will close at at 9.00pm on Friday 12th Feb.

How long will PARC be closed for?

At this point, the Victorian Government has announced a temporary lockdown from 11.59pm on Friday 12th February until 11.59pm on Wednesday 17th February. We will be guided by advice from the Victorian Government as to when these restrictions will be lifted.

Will you charge me for my membership while you are closed?

No. All membership accounts will be credited for the 5 days of closure. This will be applied at the next direct debit payment on Thursday 4th March.

How will you tell us if something changes?

As we learn more, we will share updates with you. We will constantly update our website and social media as the situation develops. For additional information please refer: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/

We know how daunting it can feel to try a new machine at the gym, so we are creating a series to demonstrate how to use the some of the equipment here at PARC! We hope that together, we can build your confidence in the gym, and help get in your 30 or 20 + 2!

Who: Children aged 6 months – 2 years 11 months (with a parent/carer in the water)
What: Learn water familiarisation fundamentals and build early safety skills together
When: Mon 23, Wed 25 & Fri 27 February 2026
Sessions: 30 mins at 8:30am or 11:10am
Cost: Fully subsidised

Australia Day public holiday opening hours

We`re open Monday 26 January for the Australia Day public holiday.

The Centre will be operating on reduced public holiday hours,

– PARC Centre Hours 7am – 7pm

– Waterslides open: 10am – 6pm

– Cafe hours: 8am – 5pm

– PARC Swim: No lessons on Monday 26 January but resume Tuesday 27 January

– Group exercise: reduced timetable, see the Customer Portal for class details and to book in.
