Senior’s Festival at PARC

Celebrating Seniors at PARC this October

All seniors are VIPs this October at Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre, with exclusive access to a range of free activities – whether they are a PARC member or not. The activities are part of the Victorian Seniors Festival which supports seniors to get out and about in their local community.

Tai Chi, Zumba, SH’BAM, Movers Aerobic, BODYBALANCE, hearing tests and afternoon tea all are part of the PARC activities for seniors this October.

PARC Health and Fitness Manager Shannon Mounsey said the centre supports local seniors with a range of health and wellbeing programs.

“Ensuring everyone has opportunity to be active is a key goal for PARC,” said Shannon. “We support our local ageing community by offering activities for seniors to stay active and connect socially with one another.”

“Seniors should be doing at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity everyday to help keep their heart, lungs, muscles and bones healthy.”
