BODY BALANCE Classes at PARC

Just as the name suggests, Body Balance classes are the perfect fit for helping improve your balance and co-ordination, through a variety of exercises that focus on spatial awareness and feeling movement through the body. By focusing on slow purposeful movements and stability exercises, you’ll enhance your body’s awareness and control, leading to improved balance and coordination 

Strengthens core muscles 
One of the most noticeable benefits of the body balance classes will be a strengthened core. Celebrate National Children's Week with a fun day for under 5s! 🥳 

Join us on Wednesday, 23rd October at McClelland Sculpture Park, where our PARC Swim Team will be running exciting, interactive water safety activities for kids as part of Frankston City Council's Children’s Week Celebration Event! 🌊👶 

This year’s theme is “Children have the right to a clean and safe environment,” so we’ll be teaching how to stay safe around water through fun activities, rescue scenarios, giveaways, and more!

Now’s your chance! PARC is excited to invite you to our More People Can Swim adult intensive program – a fully funded, 5-week intensive course tailored for beginners, running this November and December 2024. 

This program is designed for adults (18 years and over) who have little to no swimming experience and want to develop essential water safety skills. Over the 5 weeks, you’ll build your swimming confidence, learn safety and rescue techniques, and enjoy full access to our aquatic facilities at PARC and Pines to practise and play.

Learn to Save a Life: Restart a Heart Day at PARC ❤️

Join us on Saturday, October 12th, for Restart a Heart Day, a vital community event that raises awareness about cardiac arrest and empowers people with lifesaving CPR skills. Hosted by Monash University, this event will bring together children, adults, and healthcare professionals to help build a safer, more prepared community.
 
Did you know that only 1 in 10 people survive a cardiac arrest? Most cardiac arrests happen in the home, so learning how to act fast could save the life of someone you love. Restart a Heart day will teach you how to respond in just three simple steps: CALL, PUSH, SHOCK.
 
Drop by PARC on Saturday morning between 9am – 11am to learn from paramedics and paramedic students, who will be on hand to guide you through these critical steps and boost your confidence in delivering CPR. Every minute counts when restarting a heart – let’s work together to improve survival rates!
